Mangalore :The College Day of St Agnes College in the city was celebrated on Friday January 24 here at the college grounds. The programme started with a prayer.













Prof Dr M Shantharam Shetty, the Pro Chancellor of Nitte University, who participated as a chief guest said that women should be educated in order to have a better society.
He also commended the role of St Agnes institutions in educating thousands of girls and added Mangalore was proud of this institution run by the The Apostolic Carmelite Sisters. He also advised all the parents to encourage and support the talents of their children.
Fr Faustine Lobo,National Director, Pontifical Society – India and Dr Sr Lydia Fernandes AC were present on the dais.
A documentary on St Agnes Institutions produced by Pace Media was released on the occasion by Dr Sr Lydia Fernandes.
Dr Philip, Vice President of Parent Teachers Association proposed the vote of thanks. Students Union President Anisha Fernandes and Secretary Karina were the masters of the ceremony.
