Mangalore: In a barbaric act, a son allegedly stabbed his father to death after a furious quarrel on December 26, Thursday afternoon at Tarolikadu in Kompadavu. Police have arrested the accused.



The deceased has been identified as 58-year-old Meena Gowda while the accused is his son 20-year-old Rajesh Gowda. They belonged to Bajpe and were residents of Tarolikadu.
Rajesh Gowda, is said to be youngest of Meena Gowda’s three sons and was reportedly frustrated over his father’s drinking habit. It is learnt, they used to quarrel frequently and the fight between the two reached its peak on Thursday resulting in Rajesh stabbing his father.
It is learnt during the incident Meenagowda’s first son Dayananda and his second son Hemachandra were out on work. A case has been registered in Bajpe police station.
