Janardhan Poojary lashes out at BJP

Mangalore: Senior congress leader and former union minister B Janardhan Poojari has strongly condemned the recent incidents of violence against youth and also voiced his concern over the incident of kidnap and blackmail of two medical students.

Addressing the media persons, Poojary said the  incident reported from Deralakatte has put the coastal Karnataka region to shame.  Such incidents may refrain parents  from sending their children for studies in the district which is considered an educational hub, Poojari added.

He further appreciated the role of the  police in arresting the accused within 24 hours and Health Minister U T Khader who represents the constituency, for taking appropriate measures.

With regards to the allegations made on Congress by the BJP, Poojari  said  the Congress has been protecting the country since years while Modi is busy putting hoardings in villages. He also charged the BJP of dividing the society.
