SIO protests against brutalities by Egypt military rule

Udupi : The Udupi unit of the Students Islamic Organisation of India staged a protest near the Clock Tower here on August 19, Monday to condemn the  brutality of the military rule in Egypt after dethroning  the Mohommad Morsi Government.

Anwar Ali Kaup of SIO who addressed the  agitators, said   the  act of overthrowing a  democratically elected Government in Egypt was a great setback to   forces supporting democracy in the world. He also alleged that the military rule in Egypt was resorting to violation of human rights. Ali further appealed to the Indian Government to condemn the Egypt violence and also to call back its diplomats in Egypt.

Idris Hoode, another SIO leader  who also spoke, alleged that it was at the instigation of America that such incidents are taking place in Egypt.

Nihal Hoode, Yasin Kodibengre, Iftiqar, Asif Malpe of SIO, Hussain Saheb of Minorities Forum, Mohammad Marakada of Jamaate-e- Islami and others took part in the protest.
