Beltangady: Several houses and shops were flooded in Venoor,  owing to torrential rains that lashed on Wednesday July 3.

Venoor recorded 12 mm rainfall that caused widespread floods.  The house of a certain Dr Santosh located nearby church and shops located nearby high school were flooded.

The locals said it was the major flood that occurred after 40 years.
