A Sunday Science School for children from July 14

Mangalore : A  Sunday Science School aimed at  developing an interest in science in children and helping them with hands-on science activities   will begin  at St Agnes  College in Mangalore from July 14. The Sunday Science School is a joint initiative of St Agnes College and Centre for Advance Learning (CFAL)  and is part of an extension activity of the Science Forum of the College.

This was informed to reporters by Dr Sr M Prem DSouza, Principal of the College at Press Club on July 4, Thursday.

She said the  Sunday Science School is meant for children studying from fifth to tenth standards and will be conducted in two levels for juniors (5th to 7th standard) and Senior (From eighth to tenth standard).

A total of 20 classes will be conducted  on Sundays and a fee of Rs 3500 will be charged per student. The materials will be provided by the organisers and classes will be conducted from 9.30 am to 11.30 am.

The trained resource  persons will help children with science projects and experiments, Sr Prem DSouza informed.
