St Aloysius ITI Celebrates Annual Day – 2024

Mangaluru: Annual Day celebration of St Aloysius Industrial Training Institute was held on 30 April, 2024 at 10 a.m in the St Aloysius Higher Primary School Auditorium.

The programme commenced with a prayer dance. Kiran Dsouza, Convener of the programme along with N Shashank, Student Council President and Welston Joyal Walder, Cultural Secretary escorted the dignitaries to the dais.

Ronald Silvan Dsouza – Founder & Executive Director, Leksa Lighting Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was the Chief Guest; Ramesh G Regional Head (South) ASDC and Naveen Rasquinha – President, St Aloysius ITI Alumni Association were the Guests of Honour.

Rev Fr Melwyn Joseph Pinto SJ, Rector – St Aloysius Institutions, Mangaluru was the President of the programme.

Rev Fr John Dsouza SJ, Director – St Aloysius ITI, Roshan Dsouza- Principal, Alwyn Menezes-Vice Principal, Noel Lobo- Training Officer, Kiran Dsouza – Convener of the programme, N Shashank- Student Council President and Welston Joyal Walder- Cultural Secretary were present.

The annual report was displayed on the LED screen. N Shashank, Student Council President welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering.

The prizes were distributed to the winners of Aloysius Tech Fest 2024, Quiz, Treasure Hunt and to the students who maintained 100 per cent attendance.

Best Trainee Award was presented to the top performers from each trade.

Addressing the gathering Ronald Silvan Dsouza spoke narrated his story from rags to riches.

He congratulated the students and said, “If we want to get ahead in life, we have to work hard. You are lucky because God has provided you with an opportunity to study in the best educational institution. I was surprised and happy to see the annual report of your institution. You have lot of activities organised by the institution throughout the year”.

He shared his thoughts with the students about how he got to the top position through the hardships that he faced in his life.

The Chief guest and guests of honour were felicitated for their achievements and contribution to the society.

In his Presidential address Rector of St Aloysius Institutions, Rev. Fr Melwyn Joseph Pinto SJ said, “I really liked the prayer dance performed by the students where all religions were treated as equal with the message of unity . Religion is not important for us, what God sees is our heart and humanity. I liked the speech of the chief guest, keep what he said in your heart, surely you too will come forward in your life. Drawing inspiration from him, you should also become entrepreneurs and give employment to others in the future, you should help those who are in difficulty.”

Formal programme was followed by the cultural programme with the theme ‘Unity in Diversity’.

Welston Joyal Walder, Cultural Secretary proposed vote of thanks.

Muthu and Privisha Shainy Dsouza, students of Electronics Mechanic trade compered the programme.

The programme was concluded by singing the National Anthem.
