Road rage turns Kadri chaotic

Mangalore: A road rage was witnessed, near the city hospital at Kadri, around 11.15 pm on Sunday November 24 after a group of guys started fighting with a restaurant owner over a petty issue.

It is learnt that as a car got wedged into a pothole, the group of guys and two women who were travelling in the car tried to pull over, few of the local joined to their aid alongside the restaurant owner, as the car feel inside the ditch just in front of the restaurant.

While everyone was trying to pullout the car, the restaurant owner made some irrelevant comments over the driver and his driving skills. The driver offended with the comments came to fight with the restaurant owner which in turn led to a sever rage.

The rant and rave went to an extent where the entire group started to thump the restaurant owner, looking at the owner getting beaten up his employee came to his rescue, wherein they got swords, rod and a bottle, and  now empowered the other group.

It is also known that when one of the women went to impede their fight she was also pulled into the fight and got hurt.

As the fight caused chaos at Kadri, the locals called the police, initially only two police officials were called but as they could not control the situation later more officials along with lady constables sorted out the issue.

Even after the police arrived the group which was travelling in the car started making allegation with regards to the weapons and attack on a Hindu woman and tried to circumcise the situation, but the police interrogated and arrested the owner and two of his employees.

An FIR has been registered at Kadri police station.
