Mangalore: A road mishap involving a bike and a lorry left the two wheeler rider seriously injured near the Kanachur Mill near Tokkottu on the National Highway 66 on March 19, Wednesday.

Sources said the lorry driver realising that the bike rider will come under his vehicle, steered his vehicle to the side and hit against the compound wall of Kanachur Mill. However,  the bike had collided against the lorry by then. The injured bike rider has been admitted to the hospital.

It is believed that the works underway on the National Highway has resulted in erratic movement of traffic  leading to such mishaps.
