Ullal: The police had to resort to lathi charge after agitated students of  P A College near Konaje began to pelt stones at the college on Wednesday March 19.

The  demands of the students  of the College have  not yet been  addressed to and they have been protesting since March 15, Saturday. against the irregularities in the college and the alleged obnoxious behaviour of the student welfare officer of the college, Abdul Rehman.

The students collectively have boycotted their classes and protested against the administration of the college urging to suspend the student welfare officer. However, later the protest intensified wherein the students started  stoning the college  building. The police was summoned to bring the situation under control.

The chaotic situation got worse when  the police lathi charged the agitating students injuring many of them. Finally, bowing to pressure, the college decided to expel the student welfare officer of the college.
