Moodabidri: The locals allegedly complained about a group that had been migrated from Rajasthan was forcing children into labor; the officials along with the member of CWC visited and inspected the matter on Tuesday January 21.



Speaking to the reporters Children and Women welfare committee officer, Rayappa said that the investigation has revealed that no child labor was carried out or forced by the migrants, even then were have addressed the localities and advised to maintain sanity in the area and not force children to work.
Moreover Rayappa also suggested the migrants to administrate pulse polio to those children who are below 5 years.
The inquiry showed that there were children mainly between the age group of 10 to 11 years and the total number of children were 20, but they were not forced into any kind of child labor, added Rayappa.
The in-charge of Mangalore and Moodabidri rural committee for the welfare of women and children, Nagaratha was also present during the investigation.
She suggested them to send the children to the school and counseled the migrants.
