Mangalore: Opposing the state government’s proposed Anti-Superstitions Bill 2013, the Dharmika Swathantriya Rakshana Committee, a sub-division of Vishwa Hindu Parishad organized a rally and a protest on Monday December 23. The rally was taken out from Dr Ambedkar circle to Town Hall.











Speaking on the occasion, Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Gopalji, while opposing the proposed Bill, said Hindus see God in each particle in cosmology and worship trees, cows, nature, and stone too.
Sri Ramananda Swamiji of Kolya Ramanandashram said, “A few people who are not aware of the culture of this land are supporting this Bill. We should protest against this Bill with the motto of do or die.”
Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Odiyoor Math, Sri Rajashekarananda Swamiji, Sri Mohandas Swamiji of Manila and Mukthananda Swamiji of Karinje Math called Hindus to protect their religion and urge the government to discard the Bill.
Satyajit Suratkal of Hindu Jagarana Vedike also spoke on the occasion. Kamalaksha Gandha Kadu, President of Dharmika Swathantriya Rakshana Committee, M B Puranik, Ramdas Asranna and others were present.
