Kasargod : The Kasargod police who are investigating into the realtor Muttalib murder case of Uppala have recovered the weapons including two machetes and a revolver used by the assailants to execute the crime.
If the machetes were found in an isolated area of Bappaitotti, the revolver was seized from a place called Manimunda Kadappura four days ago. Even the blood stained clothes of the assailants have been seized at Bappaithota.
The prime accused Kalia Rafique who is now behind bars, has reportedly admitted that the revolver was given to him by Ansar (25) of Kurudapadavu who was a businessman in Mumbai. Even Ansar has been arrested. The arrested namely Rafique (42) and Samshuddin (24) were also taken to the spot where they had hidden the weapons, amid tight police protection. The accused were brought with their faces covered as their identification parade has not yet been held. Thousands of people had gathered at the place. Kumble Circle Inspector CB Thomas, Manjeshwar Sub-Inspector Bijulal were also present.
The arrested have been produced before the court and remanded to two weeks of judicial custody. The murder took place on the night of October 24 when Muttalib was on way home in his car at Uppala.
