Bangalore : Police sources have informed that they have gathered information that the man responsible for the brutal attack on a woman in a Bangalore ATM on November 19, Tuesday morning, was in Andhra Pradesh.
Investigations have also revealed that the assailant had sold the mobile phone of the victim Jyothi Uday, Corporation Bank Manager, at a place called Hindupura in Ananthapur district of Andhra Pradesh.
Police have already interrogated the man who had purchased the mobile and have spread a dragnet to nab the assailant. Police have also exuded confidence that they will trap the culprit within the next two days.
The Bangalore police have formed eight teams to track down the assailant. All the teams are under the direct supervision of the city Police Commissioner Raghavendra Auradkar.
The victim Jyothi Uday who had sustained serious injuries is said to be recovering. Corporation Bank sources said all the treatment costs of the victim will be borne by the Bank.
