Mangalore : Over 3000 parishioners participated in the inaugural function of the post-centenary golden jubilee celebrations of Immaculate Conception Church, Urwa   which were held at the Church ground on March 30, Sunday. Mangalore Bishop Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, blessed the foundation stone for the new Belfry of the church and also celebrated a Mass on the occasion.

The celebrations commenced with an open air retreat by Fr Anil Dev, Director of Matri Dham Ashram, Varanasi. The retreat was followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

The Mangalore Bishop later released the post centenary golden jubilee calendar and also unveiled the logo of the event. He also dedicated a special jubilee family prayer.

Fr Victor D’Mello Parish Priest of the Church and several others were present on the occasion.
