Bantwal :A Hut belonging to a poor family has been demolished by the revenue officials here on July 18. Raghu Poojary and Soumya, a poor couple used to reside in this hut situated at Kanjilakody in Lorettopadavu which is purported to be govt. land.

The locals said that revenue inspector Sadhu and local officials demolished the hut.

Enraged locals built the demolished hut at the same place. Next morning officials came to the spot and tried to demolish it. Locals questioned why the officials have not taken action against other huts built on government land.

The officials warned the locals and returned back with some photos of the rebuilt hut.

The couple works in a firm which has a business of Shamiana and other paraphernelia for rent.
