Mangaluru: Police resorted to lathi charge at the activists of the Popular Front of India(PFI) outside Mangaluru Police Commissioner’s office on Monday. The activists had arrived to protest against arrest of Saifulla for his alleged involvement in a recent murder case.
The activists had not sought permission for the protest and yet assembled in front of Mangaluru city police commissioner’s office. When the activists indulged in verbal spat with the cops and when they refused to budge, police resorted to lathi charge and then arrested them.

Saifulla was arrested in connection with the killing of Charan at Vamanjoor.
