Mangaluru: The police have brisked up the probe into the brutal killing of Congress leader Ismail Nelyamajalu and three teams have been formed to nab the culprits.
Puttur assistant superintendent of police, Rishvanth has been guiding the investigation, while other teams are headed by additional superintendent of police, Vedamurthy, and local police circle inspector, Krishnaiah. The teams have been visiting places around Bellare and the spot where Ismail was murdered.
It may be recalled that Ismail Nelyamajalu was murdered by miscreants on Friday at Aivarnadu near Bellare, soon after he emerged out of a local mosque after offering Friday prayers.
The probing team believes that the murder could have been executed due to business, financial or land-related dispute.
