Bantwal: Vitla police have arrested Salethur Basheer,who was transporting cattle illegally. They have also seized a lorry and four cows.

The arrested is identified as Basheer son of Monu Byari resident of Kattathila Panjarakodi in Salethur.

Salethur Bhajarang Dal activists had complained to the police saying that Basheer has brought four cows.

Vitla SI T R Raghavendra and others came to the spot and arrested him.

Police said that the other accused escaped from the spot.
