Hunasur : A youth was grievously assaulted by  his neighbouring family members over the issue of fencing of a land at Hemmige Colony  in the town. The injured youth Girish (23), son of Rajayya has been hospitalised.

The accused have been identified as Ramayya, his wife Maniamma and son Mahendra. It is learnt they had  taken a big stone and   dumped it on Girish who suffered serious damage of his waist bone.

It is learnt Ramayya and Rajayya, both farmers had four acres land each in survey number 42 at Ganaganakatte. Ramayya was of late agitated  after Rajayya  erected a fencing around his land. This  led to an altercation and a clash when  the trio assaulted Girish.

Rural police have registered a case and are investigating.
