Bantwal : Two bike riders sustained critical injuries when their two-wheeler was hit by a pick-up vehicle at Irvattur Padavu in Moodupadukodi village on April 9, Wednesday night.

It has been learnt that the driver lost control over the pick-up vehicle which was heading towards Punjalakatte from Vamadapadavu and hit against the bike which was in front of it. Both the bike riders fell on the road due to the impact of the collision. The pick-up vehicle then came to an abrupt halt after hitting against a nearby electric pole.

Both the vehicles were badly mangled in the mishap. It is learnt, the bike riders are from Belthangady. Their identities  are not known. Punjalakatte police have registered a case.
