Moodbidri, Mar 17: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister KS Eshwarappa has said that the Vidhana Saudha would be picketed  by the people if the state government failed to  announce the formation of four taluks after the Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking at a party workers meeting at the Padmavathi Kala Mandir on March 16, Sunday, Eshwarappa said the present Congress government was ignoring the formation of 43 new taluks proposed by the previous BJP government. He said the BJP would take people of these places into confidence and picket the Vidhana Saudha if the demand is not fulfilled.

He further said the state government was trying to sow the seeds of casteism and also to appease minorities. The government has also landed itself in problems owing to its several proposals and schemes, Eshwarappa alleged.

He said there was a Modi wave in the state and Dakshina Kannada candidate Nalin Kumar will once again win from the constituency. He said BJP was not a casteist but a nationalist party.

Several JD(S) workers and other party men joined the BJP on the occasion.
