Kasargod : A pedestrian was  fatally run over by a  vehicle  on the National Highway at Nullippady on March 31, Monday night. The identity of the deceased who is around 40 years of age is not yet ascertained.  His head was smashed in the mishap.

The accident occurred at around 11 pm when the man  wearing a brown colour shirt and black trousers was crossing the road near the Nullippady Petrol Bunk. The vehicle which was proceeding from Anangur knocked him down and he was soon run over by another vehicle which passed that way.

The body was later shifted to the General Hospital.
