Parents’ timely intervention saves school student from Blue Whale snare

Mangaluru: The “Game of death”, Blue Whale Challenge has made inroads into Dakshina Kannada and on the prowl to endanger few more precious and innocent lives. Fortunately, timely intervention from parents saved a 9th standard student studying in a reputed Christian school in the city.

The boy started showing signs of “invasion” by the monster game and had carved a “whale” on his forehand, thereby inflicting injuries.

The school management had informed parents to take care of their children and watch their movements in the aftermath of this incident, it is gathered.

The incident came to light late and fortunately boy’s parents took measures to get him admitted to a hospital and alerted the school management of the imminent dangers posed by the deadly game.

It is now learnt that boy is out of danger and recuperating at hospital from self inflicted injuries.
