Pandit resort felicitates Miss India runner-up Afreen Vaz

Moodbidri: “Even though I have achieved success in the field of fashion, I would continue my profession in medicine. I do not want to go fully into the fashion field,” said Femina Miss India International Runner-up Afreen R Vaz. Afreen said, “two months back when we were making a documentary on health in Chennai, I got this opportunity and later I prepared myself for the contest”

She was speaking after receiving a felicitation from the Pandit resort Alangar Moodbidri on Monday April 6.

Sports and youth minister K Abahychandra Jain said the achievement of Afreen has made Karnataka proud. She will be honoured on behalf of state government on the occasion of National Federation tournament in Mangaluru.

Moodbidri Alangar Holy Rosary church priest Rev Fr Basil Vas blessed the occasion.

BJP leader K P Jagadish Adhikari, Resort head Rubi Agarwal, promoter Lal Goel, FashionABCD Dr Nithin, Charan, businessman Abu Ala Puttige were present.

Afreen wants to create awareness on Breast cancer among Indian women and help poor underprivilaged children.
