P A College students protest against college management

Mangalore: The anguish of the Students at P A College near Konaje reached to an extent wherein the students collectively boycotted their classes and protested against the administration of the college on Saturday March 15.

The distraught students stated that they lack basic facilities in the college due to which several students have fallen ill, moreover the management has been least interested in sorting the issues and they instead have been threatening the students  to expel from the college if asked for a remedial. 

The agitated students burned an effigy of the student welfare officer of the college, Abdul Rehman and demanded that he be expelled.  The Students alleged that the student welfare officer has caused immense mental agony to the student who questioned about any issue faced by them in the college. He also makes vulgar remarks and insults the students.

They said that there is scarcity of water in the College, hostels conditions are adverse, inferior quality food is being supplied in the hostel wherein worms have been found in the food.

When a student stands for justice and complaint his parents, the officials’ in-turn complained the parents about the students of being drug addicts, the students fell mentally abused due to such circumstances.

The students shouted slogans throughout the day and did not settle in for a compromise even after being warned by the management of being expelled from the college.
