Karkala: Two persons were injured when an 108 Ambulance  overturned   on the road near the Hirgana Murur School on March 15, Saturday. The mishap took place when the ambulance  of the Ajekar Primary Health Centre had  arrived at Hirgana to take a patient to the hospital.

It is learnt, a person suddenly came in the way of the ambulance near the Murur school   forcing the ambulance driver to  apply sudden brake. The ambulance toppled and went upto five meters before coming to a halt.

It’s driver Subhash and technician Ashok sustained minor injuries and have been hospitalised.

There have been complaints since long that the  public have been non-co-operative to the 108 Ambulance in the town. A year ago,  a car which went out of control also  had hit an 108 Ambulance. There have even been occasions when the ambulance staff are forced to request the public to  allow them head towards hospital.
