Manjeshwar: A person died and four others were injured in a collision between an Omni van and a KSRTC bus on National Highway near Hosangadi, Manjeshwar .

The driver of the omni van, Mohammad Hidayath , 55 is the deceased. All the injured, hailing from Uppla town have been admitted to various hospitals in Mangaluru.

The bus was coming to Mangaluru from Kasargod where as the omni van was heading to Uppala from Talapady. The locals struggled to pull out the injured from the crushed van before shifting them to hospitals, said witnesses.

Manjeshwar police arrived at the spot and investigations are on.
