No provocative speech made in Kalladka : Ramanatha Rai

Mangalore : District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Forest B Ramanatha Rai has clarified  that  no Congress leader had delivered a provocative speech during the Sauharda Samavesh of the Congress held at Kalladka  recently.

Addressing pres persons at the District Congress Office on March 11, Tuesday, Rai said  it was not proper to say that  a provocative speech  made by a  party leader at Kalladka meet was responsible for the clash.  The  Congress party had organised the convention with due permission of the District Administration, he said.

Rai further said clashes erupted within few minutes after the commencement of the meeting. The BJP and Sangh Parivar activists had resorted to stoning in order to disrupt the meet, he said and blamed the BJP and Sangh Parivar for the incident.

Continuing, Rai said the BJP which has realised that  the  political scenario in the coastal belt was conducive for the Congress as revealed in a survey, has resorted to such acts out of fear of failure.

He also demanded legal action against those responsible for the Kalladka clashes.

Ibrahim Kodijal. District Congress Interim President, Ivan D’Souza, Nazeer Bajal, TK Sudhir, Shashidhar Hegde and other Congress leaders were present.
