Bangalore : If Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar was made the  Brand Ambassador of the Election Commission during the  previous Assembly election,  in order to encourage people to vote, this time there is every possibility of Puneeth being replaced   by some other famous personality.

Deign the Assembly elections, Puneeth had made appearance in hoardings, flex banners, TV and newspaper ads to  encourage people to  vote.  But, Puneeth who not only failed to increase voting percentage  but had himself  abstained from voting by leaving for Singapore thereby inviting a  lot of criticism.All these reasons have forced the Election Commission to rethink on whether to continue him or not.

Moreover, as Puneeth’s sister-in-law Geetha ( brother of Shivarajkumar) is to contest as JD(S) candidate  from Shimoga, Puneeth is likely to lose a chance of being Brand Ambassador mainly because as per rules  brand ambassadors should not identify themselves with any party.
