Bantwal : Congress leaders  of Panemangalore and Bantwal Blocks who convened a press meet at BC  Road on March 10, Monday evening have said the Congress party will hold  a Samarasya Samavesh once again in Kalladka as the previous such convention had to be stopped abruptly following the clash.

The leaders further said the party would hold such programmes promoting peace and harmony on a continuous basis and none can stop them. They also informed that Samarasya Samavesh will be held at Kolnad, Kallige, Vamadapadavu and BC road in Bantwal  as  scheduled.

ZP Member Chandraprakash Shetty who spoke, alleged that the Sangh Parivar was engaged in the task of sowing seeds of  communal hatred at several places in the taluk and added the recent convention at Kalladka intended at exposing the misdeeds of the organisation as well as Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat.  But  they have spoilt the meeting fearing their secrets will be out, he said.

Continuing, he said though Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat has  spoken low about Congress leaders at various  meetings and has also made offensive remarks  regarding religion, the Congress workers had never tried to disrupt such meetings.

He said the Congress had secured the permission of the local panchayat as well as the election officer for the  Kalladka convention. Though police had to ensure additional security for a convention in a sensitive area like Kalladka, they have failed in this direction, he alleged.

MS Mohammad, ZP member  said the Kalladka incident has hurt the party leaders and workers.
