Mangalore : If police generally arrive at the spot of moral policing only after the incident take place, in a latest case, the alert cops rushed to a place where a moral policing incident would have taken place but for their timely intervention.
It is learnt, on October 2, Wednesday the Mulki police received information that Hindu outfits were planning to attack a few boys and girls of different communities who were travelling in a car. The Mulki police led by SI Somayya immediately rushed to the spot and intercepted the Alto car near Bappanadu and found three boys, two girls travelling in the car towards Udupi. Police realized that they were being followed by some Hindu outfit members who however quietly took to their heels on seeing the cops.
The youth were later taken to the station where they reportedly misbehaved with the cops. The Mulki police later contacted their parents and summoned them to the station. The youngsters were subsequently released after a warning.
