Mulki auto drivers warn suspension of services on bad roads

Mulki : Autorickshaw drivers of Mulki who staged a protest near the bus stand in the town on Friday June 6 condemning the sorry state of several roads in the town, have threatened  that they would stop plying on such roads if the authorities fail to heed to the demand to repair them.

Addressing the protestors, Ashok Chitrapu,  Secretary of the Autorickshaw Drivers   and Owners Association  said the road from Mulki Bappanadu Temple towards Vijaya College as well as the Kempugudde Manampady, Kolekkady Kavattar roads are in deplorable condition  and feared the worse during monsoons.

He also criticised the authorities for their apathy towards the sorry state of the roads. He  said  autorickshaws would go off these roads until they are bituminised and sought the co-operation of the public.

He further assured all co-operation to all protests organised by the public until the road is repaired.

Several office bearers and members of the association participated in the protest.
