MITE Moodabidri Celebrates Graduation of 14th Batch

Mangaluru: Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering (MITE), an Autonomous Engineering and Management Studies College at Moodabidri, conducted the Graduation ceremony for its 13th batch of Engineering graduates, 14th batch of MBA graduates, M.Tech graduates and Ph.D holders, on 27 April 2024 at MITE Campus Moodabidri. 

Eleven Ph.D holders, 515 Engineering graduands, 100 Management graduands, and 2 M.Tech graduands received their credentials.

 University Rank Holders and Toppers of each Branch were felicitated with gold medals in the Graduation ceremony.

Prof. B Ravi, Director, NITK, Surathkal in his graduation address highlighted the reality of life saying there is a VUCA world, a world with Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity & AI. He said it is only in the real world where one touches the ground. 

He said that an individual to be successful in life, should build capabilities, imbibe problem-solving skills, collaborate with others, and be committed to something. 

These Four C’s will enable us to lead us towards success. He added that success in life can be measured by mental health, physical health, and social health. 

Prof. B Ravi advised the new graduates to learn something new every day, as we are stepping into a complex and unknown world filled with AI. He wished everyone success and said make your life interesting daily.

University Rank Holders of the Institute Rahul Sudhakar (7th Rank in Aeronautical Engineering), Sripriya (7th Rank in Computer Science & Engineering), Jithesh (8th Rank in Information Science & Engineering), Druva Jadhav (6th Rank) and Acharya Shriya Shridhar (9th Rank) in Mechatronics Engineering were felicitated.

Toppers from Each Branch – Rahul Sudhakar – Aeronautical Engineering, Sripiya – Computer Science Engineering, Vismita Kuppayya Naik – Electronics and Communication Engineering, Jithesh – Information Science & Engineering, Merwyn Pinto – Mechanical Engineering, Dhruva Jadhav – Mechatronics Engineering, and Priyanka Quadras from MBA were felicitated with gold medals.

Rajesh Chowta, President of Rajalakshmi Education Trust in his presidential address highlighted the role of parents and teachers in the successful journey of a student and that they must be remembered for making a difference in their lives. 

He advised the graduates to be creative and unique and said there is no point in aping others. He said it is not easy to be successful without failures, so face all difficulties to be successful in life. 

Rajesh Chowta advised the graduates to be committed by focusing on themselves and facing challenges in life. He said learning is a continuous process, so one needs to update regularly to survive in this AI era. 

He highlighted the importance of teamwork and urged the graduates to be a good human beings. 

Rajesh Chowta wished all graduates great success and told them to contribute to nation-building to make a developed India by 2047.

MITE Principal Dr Prashanth C M welcomed the guests and Dr Rajshekhar, Vice Principal, proposed a vote of thanks.

Prof G R Rai, Advisor, MITE administered the Oath to the graduates.  

Deepthi Shetty, Faculty, compered the Program.
