Metro Commissioner instructs Police not to meddle in Civil Cases

Bangalore: The metropolitan police commissioner Raghavendra Auradkar instructed the police officers not to interfere in civil cases.

Addressing the media persons, Raghavendra said that civil cases such as land disputes cannot be resolved in police stations that have to be referred to courts.  At the backdrop of general complaints of corruption in police stations related to civil cases, the police are strictly instructed not to meddle in civil cases, said Raghavendra.

The patrol police are instructed to take the street children and settle them in the care of rehabilitation centers.  The measures are underway to keep a close vigil in maintaining law and order situation across the metro, said Raghavendra.
