Mangaluru: In an tragic incident, a seven year-old girl died after she was crushed under the rear wheels of a marriage party bus in Balla Kadpura, Kanhangad on Sunday March 9.

The deceased is identified as Nasira, daughter of Kalihid Manikkoth Kolavayal, who is employed in Gulf. Nasira and her mother had been to a wedding ceremony of their relative in Balla Kadpura.

Incidentally, Nasira had arrived by the same bus to the wedding venue and she was standing behind the bus. When the bus moved backwards she was crushed as the bus driver failed to notice her. The injured girl was immediately rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.
