Mangaluru: A woman pedestrian who was seriously injured after being hit by a car died in the middle of the road while being taken to the hospital in Vagga of Bantwal.
Sesamma, a resident of Kadabettu, was the deceased woman. Sesamma was walking from home to Vagga Town when a car coming from behind hit her. A woman from a poor family was coming to pay the money of a self-help society when a female doctor who was traveling in a passenger car towards Mangalore collided with a pedestrian from behind due to the careless driving.
Doctors said that the woman, who was fighting for her life due to serious injuries, was rushed to the hospital but died on the way.
Recently, her husband was hit by a rickshaw while walking in Vagga. Later, due to a serious leg injury, he was unable to walk at home and died after sometime.
Now the same family has received another shock. Traffic SI Murthy visited the place and registered a case.
