Mangaluru: More than 45,000 voters reached out by Ashok Rai

Mangaluru: Over 45,000 voters were contacted in favour of Ashok Kumar Rai during a door-to-door contact campaign organised by the Congress party at 220 booths in Puttur Assembly Constituency. Thousands of activists participated in the door-to-door campaign at the booth level.

Led by candidate and Block Congress leaders, they visited the homes of the voters and brought to the notice of the voters about the achievements of the Congress Government and the contents of the Manifesto. There was a good response from the voters, the leaders said.

Candidate Ashok Kumar Rai said that 94C and illegal regularisation files were pending during the tenure of the previous BJP Government. If money is not given, people’s work is not happening. Some people are being harassed even if they paid. I need people’s blessings to solve all these things,” he said adding that he has no enmity with anyone.

“I have made some statements on political issues and have not made any personal allegations against anyone.

A massive roadshow will be held in Puttur at 3.00 pm on May 8. The rally will run from Boluvaru Junction to Darbe Junction.
