Mangalore Beaches to go clean on 1st Sept.

Mangalore: The Matha Amritanandamayi trust and the Mangalore city corporation will be taking the initiative of cleaning the beaches of Mangalore on 1st of September at 10 venues from Someshvar beach to Mukka beach.

Addressing the media in the press meet held in the Mangalore city corporation auditorium, the convener of Matha Amritanandamayi trust Dr. Jeevaraj Sorake said that since three years the trust has been organizing various activities under the Amal Bharath campaign.
As a part of the campaign the trust has organized this beach cleaning activity and the city corporation is supporting in this noble cause. This activity is the 28th program in the district under the Amal Bharath campaign.

This program will begin at 7 AM and this will go on for 2 or 3 hours depending on the no. of participants involved.

Speaking on the occasion the commissioner of the Mangalore city corporation said that we have great beaches in our district. Instead of going to some other states we can keep our beaches clean and attract people to our districts.

It is the responsibility of each one of us to keep our Mangalore clean and this noble initiative should not be limited for a day but it should go on and on so that each one who visits the beach should be aware of his responsibility.

Dr. Prasanna Hegde, activist Yatish Baikampady and others were present at the press meet.
