Family of Vijay suspect Foul Play

Moodbidri : The relatives of a youngster – Vijay who died believed to be owing to a fall from Arihanta Building located in main street here on August 13, suspect that it was a murder case.

The family has approached SP and human rights Commission alleging Vijay was murdered and the perpetrators alleged him as a burglar who died succumb to head injuries while falling from the floors of the building.

Thirty-two-year-old Vijay was a resident of Kariyangala, near Polali in Bantwal taluk.  He was living with his sister whose house is located at Guddeyangady, near here.  A complaint was lodged at the town police station that Vijay was found bleeding on the ground of a building.  In spite of Vijay was taken to the Government hospital he breathed his last on Tuesday morning.

As a coincidence, there was a series of burglaries in the nearby commercial complex that was come to light on Tuesday morning.  The locals suspected the youth was Vijay who succumbed to injury.  Meanwhile, the shopkeepers suspected Vijay was the burglar.

Whether its a murder?

The family of Vijay says that he was not a burglar, in the complaint lodged by Vijays brother-in-law Yogish, a native of Guddeyangady. They suspect foul play and urged the law enforcement agencies to hold impartial investigations in this regard.

Meanwhile, a certain Narayan Punchame in his complaint to SP stated that the Arihanta complex entrance is secured with steel doors and two labourers are sleeping in the night on the basement. Narayan suspected burglary was fabricated to cover up the murder. He urged the state and district human rights Commission to award justice to the family of SC youngster in his complaint.

The district human rights Commission chairman sent a letter to SP, stating that the police have taken hurried decision on his body Vijays case, because had he fallen from 35 to 40 feet height, his body would have been smashed.  But, a strong blow to his head and twisted hands prove that it might have been a murder.  Besides, Vijay was so poor to go to the extent of committing burglary and sought proper investigation in order to bring out the truth.
