On Sunday night, heavy rain fell in a number of locations of the Dakshina Kannada (DK) district; in some places, the rain was accompanied by hailstones.
Strong winds and heavy rainfall were experienced in a number of places, including Sullia, Beltangady, Dharmasthala, Guruvayanakere, Uppinangady, Karaya Kalleri, Bandaru, Perne, Ilanthila, Puttur, Balnadu, Kadaba, Bantwal, B C Road, Subramanya, Panja, Vittal, Kanyana, Manjeshwar, Bayaru, and Balpa.

Large hailstones and a strong downpour continued for thirty minutes in Puttur. Ilanthila’s arecanut plantations were impacted, as rain interrupted internet and power supplies. One car overturned in Kudrebettu, Kalladka, on the B C Road-Addahole route due to poor road conditions. The situation was made worse by waterlogging on the roads as a result of heavy rain. Tausif was driving a Tata Nano automobile at a fast pace when it overturned, but he thankfully avoided getting hurt. Drivers and passengers in vehicles are experiencing inconvenience due to the absence of asphalt on the Kalladka service road.
