Mangaluru: A dead body was found in a pond near Kudroli ice plant off Kudroli Jodupalli road on Sunday November 16.

The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Nasir a resident of Kuslargalli in Kudroli.

According to the sources, Nasir was an alcoholic and might have slipped into the pond while he was walking home during the night. As he was drunk, he could not save himself and drowned, said the police.

However a case has been registered in Bunder Police station and the police are investigating. The dead body was for post mortem.
