LPG tanker tragedy : One more injured woman succumbs

Mangalore :  The total number of lives lost in  this week’s LPG tanker tragedy at Perne  near Uppinangady has risen to 10. Yet another seriously injured woman named Indira (40) succumbed to her injuries at a private hospital where she was undergoing treatment.

The deceased Indira was a housewife and  battled for five days before breathing her last.

On April 12, Friday, yet another injured woman Vimala, an Anganavadi teacher, had died.

Other injured namely Hajima (70) who  has sustained 50 per cent burn injuries continues to be critical. Her daughter-in-law Safia (28) is under treatment at a private hospital in Puttur. She has suffered 30 per cent burn injuries.

Others who died in this tragedy are Cheluvarasu, the tanker driver, Shobha, Vanitha, Sunil, Chitresh, Omni driver Vasanth and Khateejamma.
