CAT gets Interim Order on IAS Officers Transfer

Bangalore, Apr 13: The transfer of 10 IAS officers including Mysore and Mandya Deputy Commissioners Rame Gowda and Krishnayya are withheld and are likely to continue in their earlier posts.

The state administration has issued order to transfer on the instructions of Election Commission of India.  The Central Administration Tribunal (CAT) has secured an interim order from the court and advised the officers to continue in the same posts.

Meanwhile, Election Commission of India has decided to file a writ-petition in High Court against the order of CAT.

Accordingly, Rame Gowda, Krishnayya, Prakash, S N Nagaraj, Jayaram, D C Prakash, Prasanna, Ikkeri, Rama Reddy and Jamadar are likely to continue on their posts adhering to CAT order.

On the basis of state Election Commission, the state administration on March 27 issued orders to transfer 13 IAS officers and appointed C Shika as Deputy Commissioner of Mysore and M N Ajay Nagabhushan as Deputy Commissioner of Mandya.

Rama Reddy and others filed a petition in the court against CAT, stating that the transfers are against the law.
