Newskarnataka – Kasargod

Kasargod: The house of advocate B Ravindran at Chinmaya Colony here was damaged and the electrical equipment burnt in a lightning strike on Monday May 5 evening. There was no one in the house when the mishap took place.

Neighbours who noticed smoke coming out of the house, broke open the window panes and sprinkled water to douse the fire. Apart from electrical  appliances, TV stand, vessels, sofa, showcase and other furniture in the house too have been damaged.

The family of Ravindran was away in Kozhikhode as the children of Ravindran had to appear for an entrance exam.

The loss has been estimated at several lakhs of rupees.
