Mangalore, Mar 28: A lady traffic constable sustained serious injuries after a car crashed against the traffic circle and brought it down at PVS circle in the city on Friday, March 28 afternoon. The constable Vanamala who has sustained injuries on her head, legs and ribs has been rushed to the Wenlock Hospital.




The incident took place when a speeding car bearing Kerala registered number KL 12, G 4577, which was proceeding from the Bunts Hostel road, violated a traffic signal and crashed it against the traffic circle, which collapsed in turn injuring Vanamala (traffic cop) who was on duty at the circle.
The car driver Vivek Raj has been taken into the custody. Bunder police have registered a case.
