Mangalore: A labourer lost his life while two others sustained serious injuries when a hill behind an under construction site caved in  near Derebail Church on the afternoon of Wednesday April 30. The building was being raised by Victoria Builders.

The deceased person is Kasappa of Badami origin. Two others who were buried beneath the soil were rescued by fire service personnel. They have been admitted to a private hospital.

A case has been registered in the local police station.

It may be recalled here that two labourers had died in a similar mishap reported from another construction site in the same area some time back.
