Mangalore: “The Congress government has hampered the growth of the state, whereas during the BJP regime various important initiatives were made for the betterment of the people of the district”, said B. S. Yeddyurappa, former chief minister while comparing the two parties and the development works done by them.

Addressing the media personnel on Tuesday March 4, during a meet at the BJP office he lamented that the Congress government had abandoned several of the welfare programmes of the previous BJP government.
Yeddyurappa spoke on the Bhagya Lakshmi scheme as well as the Suvarna Bhoomi scheme that were launched in the BJP regime to benefit the poor. However, both have been side lined by the Congress government, he alleged.
When Yeddyurappa was questioned about KJP, he bluntly said “forget about KJP, it was just a matter of time and a KJP will never be born again.” “All members have been advised to withdraw their membership. It will not affect my supporters or members,” he added.
