Bangalore: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has hit back at  KPCC Chief G Parameshwar stating that there has been no injustice in the allocation of funds for SC/STs and backward classes  in the state budget.

Speaking to reporters here, the Chief Minister said “I will not reply to the false allegations. As much as 24 per cent grants have been provided to Scheduled castes and Scheduled tribes in the budget. “How can this be injustice?” he questioned and clarified that grants have been earmarked in accordance to population. We have given a balanced budget to ensure injustice is not done to any community. “ I will not reply to those who make allegations for no reason,” the CM reacted sharply.

Siddaramaiah further said there is a special law with regard to  the allocation of grants for SC STs and added  Karnataka is proud that it is the second state to have such a law. “Our government wants the SC/STs to get all facilities so that they can come to the main stream,” he said adding  the government is committed to ensure social justice.
