Mangalore : State Health and Family Welfare Minister  held a  meeting at the DC office in the city  on February 1, Saturday  in the presence of Deputy Commissioners of DK and Udupi and various officials to hold discussions about the rehabilitation measures for Endosulfan victims and payment of monthly pension to them.

Madan Gopal, Secretary of the Department of Health,   AB Ibrahim, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada,   MT Reju, Udupi Deputy Commissioner and others took part in the meeting. The minister  directed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure adequate measures to provide all amenities to the Endosulfan affected people.

Here it is worth mentioning that the   state High Court has recently directed payment of interim compensation to Endosulfan affected people in various districts.
